MSCL is Claire Danes's claim to fame. Critics agree that her overly observant and insightful character Angela Chase captures the essence of teen angst.  Her performance in this (unfortunately) short-lived series earned her a Golden Globe for best TV series actress in 1995.  Quite an accomplishment for a 16-year-old who never really had a normal high school experience!  Any Claire Danes fan will want to rent or purchase the newly released MSCL episodes on video to see Claire at her best.
