genre of filmmaking into an art form. Her very first Academy nomination, she will be
judged against Kim Basinger in L.A. Confidential, Joan Cusack in In & Out,
Minnie Driver in Good Will Hunting, and Gloria Stuart in Titanic for Best
Actress in a Supporting Role.

On December 4, 1997, Julianne Moore gave birth to a seven-pound baby boy. His father is
the filmmaker Bart Freundlich who directed Moore in The Myth of Fingerprints, which
he also wrote and produced.
